Yes, each controller requires a 1.5V AAA battery. Please note that if the battery power is insufficient, it may cause the controller signal to become unstable, leading to abnormal game conditions, such as character shuffling or loss of control. This issue can be resolved by replacing the battery.

Note: We recommend using alkaline dry batteries. Do not use carbon dry batteries, as they may cause delays or loss of control with the wireless functionality. Carbon dry batteries are suited for low-current devices, while wireless products require higher current. Using carbon dry batteries in this controller may result in poor wireless performance.
